*My Crows* *My Art* *My Way*

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
As you can see, I've been playing around with my blog! It's fun to play! LOL!
Well, there is no surprise on how the painting I left you with, turned out, because it's in my banner, but I will still show you some of the steps.
"The Breath Of Life" (8" x 8" canvas)
I also managed to get some aceo's painted. (2.5" x 3.5")
"Autumn Fun"
"Pumpkin Patch Love"
At the beginning of the year, I was talking about putting some of my art on clothing. And, after all the research I did, I kind of cooled things down, because nothing seemed to be working out right. Well, I've still been looking on the "Art Of Where" web site, because they are in Canada, hoping they would add more things, for me to see what they are all about. Remember, they don't offer returns. Well, they finally added a bag. They call it a "day tote".
I think I'm going to go for it! At least I don't have to worry about "sizing" for customers. I'm going to try to do 6 different designs. If there is a "painting" you want to see on these bags, let me know! (I'm thinking of doing some stickers too!)

Big Hugs 😊

Hi Everyone!
Happy August!
Hope you're all well!

I've been working on a painting. It's not finished yet, but I would like to show you some of the progress pictures.
Sometimes, painting the "background", takes just as long as painting my crows. Many layers of paint!
And, it doesn't mean it's going to stay that way in the end! LOL!
Next, placement of my crow.
More detail. This is where I am now.
I'm excited to finish it. Hope you like what you see so far!
Big Hugs 😃

Hi Everyone
Hope you're all well!

So many times, when I explain to people how I take the time to go around blog land, to comment and see how everyone is doing, "I get weird looks". Basically saying, why are you wasting your time, they aren't "real" friends. I stick out my tongue to those people, in a loving sexy way! LOL!

I've made so many friends through blog land. People who have been there for me! Supported me with my art. We have laughed together and cried together!

I try to be as real as I can on here. Because, I know we all go through things and if I can help, that makes my heart smile!

Sometimes, you don't know how much you have helped or inspired another life, until you are told.

Last week I received a special gift in the mail. From Magaly 💝
Magaly is an amazing writer. She sent me a wonderful poem, that she hand stitched on paper.

"I am an irrepressible Wild Woman"

We fight, Fate and I,
while she's plucking words
that say she wants mad art
screaming at life:

"Be words of embryonic blood,
hurricane laughter in tradition's walls.
Be raw fearlessness."

I stretch my spine, bare
my teeth, give what pleases her
and me - I am an irrepressible
Wild Woman.
By: Magaly Guerrero

She also sent with it, a beautiful crow card.
Inside the card, it reads,
My Sweet Stacy
I've sent you a poem that was inspired by pain, defiance and self-love. Since you were the one who inspired me to turn my physical pain into visual art, I thought you should have one of the first three pieces I stitched.

Magaly deals with horrible pain everyday. Sometimes, the pain is so bad, she lays down on the cold tiles of her bathroom floor. (When she wrote about that one day on her blog, I started to cry, because when I was very ill, that is where I found comfort.)

Magaly knows, like many of you, my art was "born", from me being ill. Now this is how Magaly's art has began. To know I inspired this, I can't even explain in words how I feel!

To all of you! I am so grateful for you! Keep being you!! My blogging family is very special to me!!!

Now, do you remember this?? (click on the pics to make them bigger)
Thanks for your votes! I kept it vertical! Here is the finished painting.
"On The Wings Of Spirit We Fly" (10" x 20")

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're well!

I'm excited to show you a painting I've been working on!
I'm now at the finishing stages. Just have to add my heart. My question to you all is, which direction appeals to you more? Horizontal or vertical? I know which one I prefer, but I would like to know, what you think? The painting is 10" x 20".

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well 😀
For me, everything is still going "ok". I have a feeling this is going to be a long process. I'm going to take this all one day at a time and keep on smiling 😊 Thank you for your kind words in my last post. Unfortunately, I will be still late coming around to your blogs, but I will be there!

I did manage to finish a painting. It's 8" x 8" on canvas.
"She Who Guards The Threshold"
I have to show you something, that made me smile. I know many of you love summer, but Autumn and Winter are my favs. So, when I found these 3 leaves, it warmed my heart.
Counting down the days till Autumn! LOL!

Hi Everyone
Hope you're all well!
We finally had a day with no rain. It's funny to see everyone go outside at the same time, to cut their lawns! LOL!

Two of my regular green hostas didn't come back this year, but my blue/green ones are doing amazing! This type is my favourite!
The primrose flowers and wild pansies are doing well!
I got my mom to draw for the winner of the giveaway, since it is her birthday. The winner is Valerie-Jael from Bastelmania!! Congrats Valerie-Jael! I will be contacting you soon!!

I will leave you with a painting I just finished.
It's 12" x 16".

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to Magaly and Emma's Beautiful Freaks Fest blog party!

The celebration of misunderstood monsters, misfits, outcasts and oddities of the world!
"Wednesday Addams"
"Inchabod Crane"
And... us!  And, yes, that means all of you! I was going to pick one of my favourite "misfits" and then I started thinking about all the wonderful outcasts in our blogging community. We all have something, that makes us odd to the world and I think that's wonderful!!

Did you know, for myself, until about 3 years ago, people around where I lived, never new what I "did"! I was a closet Crow painter! Then, when I started to tell people what I did, I would get all sorts of reactions. Many were not nice. Some people even laughed! Made me feel so insecure, that I even thought of stopping painting!

But, I got over that! Now I keep my head up high. If somebody says anything negative, I don't care anymore. I won't trade my authenticity for any approval!

For all of you brilliant misunderstood oddities of the world, keep being you!!
Embrace Yourself!
Accept your own identity and uniqueness!

I created a painting for the party. It's 8" x 8".
"I Am I"
I wanted to show the connection I have with crows in this painting.
I'm also giving this painting away for the party! All you have to do, is tell me in your comment, that you want it and you will be entered!
I will announce the winner on June 28th! My mom's birthday!
Have a great time at the party!
Big Hugs and keep being you!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all doing well!
It's been so long since I've posted anything!
I would like to share with you "one" of the things that have been going on.

When mom got the house, we are living in now, there was a "hot tub" room. We used it for like 2 years and then it sat, unused. This hot tub was from the 70's and there was a crack in it, plus the electricity, etc.

So, it has been roughly 12 years, this room has sat unused. Mom got the brilliant idea to change it into her laundry room. This is just off where we watch t.v, so everything is on the main floor.

I forgot to take a "before" picture. But, I do have some of the stages we have been going through. The hot tub was cut up and taken out. We had to keep the "step", because the foundation would have caved in. So, everything was stabilized underneath, before new tiles were put on top. The tiles we got, matched pretty good.
This is a picture going into the room. You can see the step to the right.
Where the washing machine and dryer will be going.
The ceiling was cedar as well, and it was peaked inside. It was covered and insulation was put in.
I said to mom, since this going to be "her" room, make it her's! Make it fun and pick a colour she would love. A picture of the room with the "primer".
Room now, with finished colour, ceiling finished with new lights and new washing machine and dryer in. Notice the bar on the wall? To help mom step up and down.
Next things to do. New white windows and doors. And, "setting" up the room!
I think it looks funky! I love it! 😀

I have a sneak peak to show you! It's for Magaly's Beautiful Freaks Fest! June 23rd-25th!
Big Hugs and I will be around soon!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
For the past month and a half, it has been cool temperatures and rain, but next week, we are suppose to get record breaking heat temperatures! From one extreme to another! One good thing, I won't have to cut the grass as much! LOL!

I have finished two paintings. Both are 8" x 10".

Home Sweet Home
Embrace Yourself
I'll leave you with some garden pictures.
Big Hugs 😊

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
As you can see, I've been playing around with my blog. I felt I should put "Crow Goddess Of Transformation"as my banner.

As I said to you all, the next few months are going to be busy. Amongst these past few busy days. I've been going through some things. We all do, don't we! More lessons and more healing! The universe is wondrous! We will get through everything, it's just to realize what is going on and be excited about change, about new possibilities!

I was reading a post from "Magaly's" Blog. She is an amazing writer! In this poem, the lines "Now with eyes open and opened again, I see" and "I will build true", really touched me!

Loving yourself, is major! I realized, just a few day ago, "I" kept calling to me! Yes, you say you love yourself, but are you hearing it? Are you understanding why you are saying it? Yes, I truly do love myself, but I didn't realize I was still holding onto so much pain! "I" need me!!! We call out to other people to hear you, but you are not listening to yourself! You have to listen to you! You have to be there for you! Without you, you have no one!

I hope I'm making sense and not confusing anyone! It's been one of those awakenings again. And, I feel good!

When this was all happening, I was looking at my "Daphne Bush". She is blooming beautifully and the smell is amazing!
At the beginning of Spring, she was roughly 3 feet tall, by 4 feet wide. I had to cut her all back. I was nervous, that she wasn't going to survive. They say not to cut Daphne bushes, because they don't like it, but she had too many dead branches on her. When I saw that she was coming to life again, at basically the same time, I was going through things, I took it as a sign. Many of times, we got to get rid of that "old" stuff, to bloom again! Like a rebirth!

I wanted to get some pictures of my "pet" chipmunks! I have 3 of them!
They let me pat them. I was trying to take a picture of me patting one, but he was scared of the camera, this is as close as I could get!
The baby robin is doing well. I could only get the back side of her/him!
I did manage to complete a painting.
"Listen To Your Spirit, It's Talking To You" (8" x 16" wood)

Big Hugs!
